There will be some questions about Prince William’s new title.
Even though Prince Harry was the one who served with the Army Air Corps in Afghanistan, King Charles III declared earlier this week that his oldest son would become the Colonel-in-Chief of the organization.
According to The Independent, Harry would have taken over his father’s 31-year-old position if he had not resigned from his royal duties.

William and Harry are both qualified military pilots, but during Harry’s second deployment in Afghanistan, he was assigned to the Army Air Corps.
William served as a search and rescue pilot and then an air ambulance pilot in the military, although he did not participate in any actual combat missions.
Officially, His Majesty the King will give His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales the position of Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps. The Prince of Wales was appointed Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps, according to the King’s announcement made in August 2023, following His Majesty’s Accession. His Majesty the King served as Prince of Wales for 31 years before taking on the position, according to a statement from Kensington Palace.

The news was released on the same day that Harry traveled to the UK to commemorate the Invictus Games’ tenth anniversary.
Following a great deal of conjecture, a duke’s representative verified that Harry would not be seeing his father because of the king’s “full programme.”
Naturally, the duke understands his father’s calender of obligations and other responsibilities, and he looks forward to seeing him soon.
When Harry learned of King Charles’ cancer diagnosis in February, he reportedly traveled quickly to the UK to be at his father’s side for 45 minutes. That was the last time the two saw each other.
