Perhaps one of the most amazing feelings in the world is waiting for a newborn to arrive. The prospective parents are filled with great anticipation as they picture all the happy and lovely moments that will transpire following the arrival of the child.
Her pregnancy had been going well for a while when things suddenly took a different turn.
All this week, I felt something. The infant was no longer moving as much. Anxiety took over me.
Baby Noah’s life ended tragically before it could even begin when his umbilical cord became constricted in the womb.
Watts struggled deeply with her grief. She was unable to give up the cot she had bought, even after losing her kid. Its presence in the home was a moving reminder of the devastating loss she had experienced.

Gerald Kumpula remembered, “She looked a little apprehensive. Although I could tell she was reluctant to sell it, she eventually did.
Kumpula lived very near to Cokato and ran his workshop on the edge of town. When he saw the crib at the Watts family yard sale, he said he wanted to buy it even though it wasn’t for sale.

“I was hesitant when he asked if I could buy it, saying he made benches,” Watts said.
At the time, Kumpulas was unaware of the history entwined with that crib.
Since I was no longer using the crib, his wife inquired about my son’s age while looking through my garage sale belongings, especially the baby outfits. He died in July, and I told her about it,” Watts recalled.
When Kumpulas discovered that the crib belonged to the Watts family, he decided to repair it and give it back to them.
“I started crying right away,” Watts said.
In addition to commemorating the difficult moments, Kumpulas’ bench made from the crib offers comfort to the bereaved parents.
