Ann-Margret needed some time to grieve and get used to life without her longtime husband when Smith passed away in 2017 at the age of 84. She took some time to think, and then she slowly went back to her work. She shared the screen alongside actresses Ellen Burstyn and James Caan in the 2021 movie “Queen Bees.” “You’re not dead when you reach a certain age,” she said in reference to her return to work, underscoring the significance of being active and involved.
