According to Angelina Jolie’s legal team, Brad Pitt allegedly mistreated her well before the infamous 2016 plane incident.
Jolie claims that Pitt’s physical abuse of her “started well before” the plane incident, citing documents obtained by Page Six. The complaint implies that Jolie left Pitt right away because of his alleged maltreatment of their kids on the journey.
The paper goes on to describe Pitt’s insistence that Jolie sign a restrictive non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before she could sell her share of their Chateau Miraval winery in France. In order to keep Jolie quiet, the NDA allegedly sought to cover up Pitt’s “personal misconduct,” including claims of abuse.

Jolie’s attorneys assert that following Jolie’s 2021 submission of sealed documents in connection with their child custody battle, Pitt became more insistent on the NDA. Pitt reportedly decided against buying Jolie’s winery shares out of concern that the confidential records would leak.
Paul Murphy, Jolie’s lawyer, responded by saying that Pitt’s denial to purchase her stock during their lawsuit directly addressed the significance of the NDA and sought to hide his alleged mistreatment.
The document also claims that Jolie never filed a lawsuit against Pitt because she thought it would be better for him to own up to his mistakes and help their family get over the anguish he was allegedly responsible for.
Pitt’s spokesperson was not immediately reachable for comment. Still, a reliable source

Pitt claimed in previously released documents that Jolie sold her Château Miraval shares as payback for him receiving joint custody of their children—a ruling that was later reversed.
According to the petition, Jolie offered a more comprehensive non-disclosure agreement (NDA) than Pitt’s team, with Pitt’s NDA mainly meant to safeguard the company without limiting Jolie’s capacity to talk about their divorce or custody battles in court.
