Billy Ray Cyrus, singer of Achy Breaky Heart, married singer Firerose, his third wife, in October 2023.
On September 13, 2022, she uploaded a picture of herself with a diamond on her ring finger, which ignited speculations of the two becoming engaged. Billy had made a proposal some months prior, it was subsequently discovered.
“Billy gave me a glance and asked, ‘Would you like to marry me?’ And my response was, “Of course I do.” I cherish you. Speaking about the plan, Firerose stated. He declared, ‘I love you.'” I want to formally announce this. I want to be in your life forever.

When he was filming Hannah Montana and she was there to try out for a role in the show, the two initially became together around a dozen years ago.
Billy said that there were a few ancient pine trees on the site that made him think of Tennessee when they first met. In the middle of the day, my dog Tex and I would walk outside, and he would do his thing. As we stretched, I would reflect on how much I missed Tennessee. That was the day Firerose came out the front door. I don’t know, there was nearly a moment of recognition. I said to myself, “This girl is a star.”
“She mentioned she had an audition, and I said, ‘Well, I’m sure you got the job,'” he went on.
Even though Firerose didn’t receive the role, they continued to communicate.
“I suddenly realized that the authors, producers, and casting agents are all on the same floor as Hannah Montana. Billy said, “And I really told her, ‘Don’t ever accept a strange man’s offer, but in this instance, Tex will attest that you will be completely safe.'”
I’ll introduce you to a producer; feel free to settle in and see us practice; who knows, it may lead to a part or simply another connection at Disney. So, Tex, her, and I left and returned to the studio. She also probably had a lot of cast and producer and writer interactions. And we ended up being friends—well, in a lot of ways—the Billy said.
She moved in with him shortly after he proposed in August 2022.
Billy, 62, was wed to Tish Cyrus for 28 years before to being married to Firerose, 34. Together, the ex-couples have five children: boys Trace and Braison, and girls Miley, Noah, and Brandi. In addition, Billy’s previous relationship with Kristen Luckey, whom he dated before to Tish, had a son named Christopher Cody.
Firerose, a singer-songwriter herself, worked with her husband on a number of projects together. Their most recent releases were a version of Silent Night for their music collaboration and the music video for their fourth song, Plans, which People was the only outlet to debut.
“Plans” is a really upbeat tune that exudes passion and love. On set, every person brought their A game. I can’t wait for people to see what we produced!
Following their wedding day photo posts, Firerose and Billy were inundated with congratulations from supporters on their nuptials. But many people were drawn to Billy’s hair, so they felt compelled to voice their opinions.
Someone said, “Could he not have at least combed his hair for the occasion?” to another. Someone another questioned, “He couldn’t find a comb?” Still no hairbrush with all that money? Someone else laughed.
